Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Dates

A quick little snack idea for a real nice sweet treat, knowing that at least you’re getting some nutrients too in the form of fibre from the date, some good fats from the peanut butter and some polyphenols from the dark chocolate!

What you need:

A pack of Medjoul Dates (you can definitely use the smaller ones too but these are just bigger and better!)

Peanut Butter (I use Pip & Nut as it is literally just peanuts and a bit of sea salt - no shitty palm oil here friends)

Dark Chocolate - use whatever you like but you get more nutrient benefits from any chocolate which is 75% cocoa or higher. Of course all chocolate has sugar but, ya gotta live!

Extras - I added nuts too, and when I felt fancy for the second round that I made, I added squares of crystallised ginger (I bloody love ginger). So get creative, you can add nuts, seeds, dried fruit, whatever you can cram into that date!

How? (in case you hadn’t figured out this super complicated recipe)

Split open the dates and remove the stone.

Spoon some nice super gloopy peanut butter inside

Squish whatever extras you like on top (nuts etc.)

Melt the dark chocolate all over.

Put in freezer, and leave there! I have them straight from the freezer - they’re bloody lush.

Enjoy. It’s cool to eat like 3 at a time too.
